Founded in 2000, Scott Sanders LLC is a full service New York City
and Hamptons-based design firm, specializing in residential
and hospitality interiors.

Whether the project is new construction, the renovation of a landmark hotel, or simply adding new updated layers to an existing residential space, Scott Sanders' passion for interior design and his signature "New American Style" results in memorable spaces, which at once are both elegant and approachable.

New American Style. Grounded in his all-American roots and the inspiration he takes from his extensive travels around the world, over the years Sanders has developed his "New American Style" for which he is known. This style is the perfect sophisticated blend of traditional and contemporary, an approachable, familiar, and casual elegance personalized to match the lifestyles of clients or the personalities of brands. In addition to providing interior design services, Sanders specializes in building collections of art, antiques and accessories for his clients that are as distinctive as their homes or properties.

History. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, with a degree in Interior Design, Scott Sanders began his professional career at Ralph Lauren. He created the company's interior design department and, as lead interior designer, transformed the residences of Ralph Lauren clients in California, Florida, New York, Connecticut and Paris. His highly acclaimed renovation of the Beach House Bal Harbour Hotel for noted art-collector and boutique hotelier clients, the Rubell family in Miami Beach during his last year with Ralph Lauren, reflected Sanders' now evident signature style and was a driving force in establishing Scott Sanders LLC.

Residential Work. In 2000 Sanders opened Scott Sanders LLC, at the time a residential interior design firm. Extensive and diverse residential projects all over the world incorporated Sanders’ “New American Style.” Projects ranged from multiple ski homes in Aspen,Colorado; condominiums and homes in Miami Beach; country estates in horse country New Jersey; beach houses in the Hamptons; townhomes and apartments in NYC; a sprawling adobe home in Arizona; to a bungalow in a Palm Desert golf community.

Hospitality Work. Sanders’ renovation of the Beach House Bal Harbour Hotel for the Rubell family was followed by notable designs for hospitality properties ranging from South Beach's iconic Albion Hotel, to Crown Maple Syrup's corporate offices, headquartered in Hudson Valley, New York.

In addition to select residential properties in 2014, Sanders' hospitality division grew with projects including the design of a model apartment at The Printing House, an early-twentieth century iconic building in New York City, and the Art-Deco era, landmark, 440-room Lord Baltimore Hotel for the Rubell family. In 2015 and 2016, Sanders’ hospitality projects include the re-design of both The Capitol Skyline Hotel in Washington, D.C., and The Albion Hotel in South Beach Miami.

Books. Sanders’ The Insider Guide to the Lord Baltimore Hotel and Baltimore, Too, the story of the collaboration with the Rubells for the re-imagining of the Lord Baltimore Hotel, was published Fall 2014 by Pointed Leaf Press. In 2010, Pointed Leaf Press published "Picture Perfect: Designing the New American Family Home," an innovative book that documents Sanders' inspired youth, his accomplished career, and a step-by-step behind the scenes look at Sanders' process while designing the perfect new American family home.

Scott Sanders

Sanders' passion for interior design can be traced back to his childhood in Ohio. The son and grandson of residential developers, Sanders grew up surrounded by building materials and design elements. Accompanying his father and grandfather to construction sites and commercial vendors, propecia precio, he developed a keen eye for color, texture, shape and composition, which led to his studies at Parsons and professional career at Ralph Lauren as lead interior designer.
